An Expert In My Field
One of the most popular pioneer of Social Work is Jane Addams. She was born on Illinois, USA; on September 6 on 1860 and died on May 21 on 1935.
She is feminist Social Worker, pacifist and reformer and on 1931 she won the “Nobel Peace Prize”.
Her more important contribution to discipline is the Hull House, founded in 1889 on Chicago,USA. This was like a foster house for poor people, where they recieve training and social benefits, and they represented an advance in social reforms. This idea was inspired by the project of Toynbee Hall founded on London by Samuel Barnett.
Today the Hull House is a museum.
She founded this project with Ellen Gates Starr.
I like her, because she is so admirable, so powerful women. She did everything for his time, she fight for womens, lesbians, and she is a feminist revolutionary.
