English language challenges
I
think the experience of this semester was much better and more rewarding than
last year, this is because the way of teaching and the teacher were very
different. The teacher this semester was a good teacher and she showed that she
likes to be a teacher and this was transmitted to the students.
The experience of doing blogs was very good, because when I did I had to
look for fewer and fewer words in the dictionary, although sometimes the topics
of some blogs were a bit boring, maybe that has to change, that the vast majority
of blogs are interesting for students so they can be inspired.
But
apart from that I think English at the university is not as useful as I thought
it would be, I thought it would be more technical or oriented to, for example,
learn how to speak more formally, that should also improve, unfortunately
compelling students to speak in classes and in front of everyone so that even
if it is hard to get rid of the shame and be able to improve and also so that
it is improvised and more casual, because doing three videos in a whole
semester where you have a lot of time to deliver it and be able to learn it,
doesn’t help much to the real and casual practice that is what we need.
I
think I need to continue practicing my English and my pronunciation, but if I
do not, I can survive in a conversation, I could already check it when I went
to the USA.
And outside English class, I only use English
when I watch series or when I listen to music.
